Hi! I'm Roz.  

Having worked in the healthcare industry for 25 years, I know how rewarding, and also how demanding, it can be. 

I'm on a mission to make it easier for healthcare leaders through the power of self-awareness, self-development and leadership application.  

I started out in veterinary practice - thrown in the deep end as a brand new veterinarian. A time of sink or swim. New career, new town, new life. It sounds like a dream come true! 

Yet I soon found out that it was tough. 

You hold the life of your patient, the emotions of their owner, and the profitability of a business in your hands. 

Plus, while you're trying to figure all that out, you have to delegate to, and direct a team of nurses and administration colleagues. And you do this all while lacking confidence and experience!

Over time, I moved into human health and the corporate world. I vividly recall the first healthcare team I managed in this environment. 

Suddenly my colleagues became my direct reports, and I was expected to hit the ground running. Deja vu - another sink or swim moment!

At times I lacked knowledge, skills and confidence. I got very good at hiding the confidence issues, and frantically built my knowledge and skills.

I was lucky. I had access to training. The problem was, available time was short and training covered things I wasn't ready for and quickly forgot.

What I needed was on demand, relevant, and repeatable training. In short bites - when I needed it most. And that I could come back to.

That's why I've built Engage Your Healthcare Leadership. Because I know that healthcare leaders are stretched. I know you need information quickly - the right dose, at the right time.

Despite working with clients across industries, ultimately healthcare is where my heart lies. I am passionate about growing leaders in healthcare - my vision is for stronger healthcare teams, enhanced healthcare culture and as a result, optimal healthcare outcomes.
